The Unified Chart: compare multiple indicator series over time

Introduction

The Unified Chart allows you to track up to five consolidated series over time from the Indicator Table. Each series corresponds to an indicator associated with a data type, such as an actual value, a forecast or a budget.

Series can be displayed as bars or lines and assigned to the left or right vertical axis in order to compare indicators with different orders of magnitude. The visualization can also be filtered using multiple combinable reference filters.

Navigate and configure the chart

1. Define the analysis period using the “From” and “To” fields.

2. Select one or more values from the reference filters displayed above the chart. Each filter allows you to select multiple values simultaneously.

3. Use a filter’s search field to quickly find a value, such as a department or region.

4. Combine multiple filters to restrict the data to entities matching the selected criteria.

The displayed series can be identified by their color and label in the legend. The chart can combine bars and lines and use two separate vertical axes, left and right.

View indicator and value details

1. Hover over a bar or a point on a line to display a tooltip displaying the series names and corresponding values.

2. Click a series in the legend to hide or show it.

3. Click a bar or a point on a line to open the detail panel.

4. Review the selected indicator’s value for the relevant period and its distribution by entity in the panel. Click an entity’s name to access its Indicator Table directly.

5. Use the panel’s search field to find a specific entity or path.

Export your chart

You can download a structured export of the data displayed in your chart. The export dynamically adapts to the configured dates and filters, reproducing exactly the time range displayed.

2. Download the file from your browser to your computer.
