About proPilot version

Please note that from version 4.13.x, proPilot has only one package for the installation.

To be compatible, the major version number should be aligned following technical release note guidelines.

Update your proPilot

Please follow the following steps to update your proPilot.

Check existing installation

If proPilot is already installed on a machine, it will appear in the “Apps & featues” list, as any other application.

An upgrade to a higher version does not require an uninstall procedure, but if the need occurs, you may uninstall a version safely without losing any data (DB), or parameter.

Note that if you want to fully remove proPilot from a machine, you need to drop the database and delete some folders manually, but the removal procedure is out of the scope of the current document.

Stop the application and the service before installing

It won’t be possible to upgrade a proPilot version, without stopping the execution of the application first. So, if a former version of proPilot is already installed, make sure to:

• Stop the web application in the administration console of IIS, to prevent users from using the application during the installation process.

• Stop the application service

Install proPilot (msi)

• Install the executable by double-clicking on the msi file and by following the procedure.
